Great shots Tell. What is the purple flower in the foreground of the last picture? It almost looks like Richard Gray Lavendar - which I think does well up to Zone 11 since it is a pretty hardy water conserving evergreen.

Check out some of Mrs. Mando's garden handiwork (as well as her photographer's eye if you are so inclined to poke around her pages)

Looking further, I've made my decision! When the shit hits the fan, I am stopping at SDH's cmpd, for about 3 mins...if he doesn't get in the car, he's history, as I am DEAD set on driving East and just praying you'll give me directions "in" when I call, lost and hungry!

Jeeezzzzus, that is one impressive place you two have going!

Take real pride in that, and give her my "congrats" from a desert gardener that lets Mother Nature do 99% of the work...I am just a weed picker really.

Very nice Mando! Looks very pretty and quite yummy also!!! All organic I trust... Great photography as well! No wonder your back is tired. I've grown a few large gardens and know how much work it is, but the rewards are worth it!!!

:)

The lavender/blue are two kinds of Lupine: big showy one is Mohave species, smaller, less showy is Sonoran...both legumes. Phacelia are in there two, but too short for you to see, I think (bluebells of the Mohave)...I pride myself on only desert natives of my two fav places (Sonoran/Mohave).

Nice shots as well on your end! Never had tried the "edible" pursuits myself though...
